These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Kalan (“we”, “us”, the “app”) and govern your use of the Kalan mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using Kalan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Kalan on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute the app or attempt to extract its source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Kalan. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.
When you open Kalan we create an anonymous account so your data can sync and be restored. You are responsible for the budget information you enter. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Kalan offers an optional premium unlock (“Kalan Premium”) that unlocks features such as unlimited income & expense items, payment reminders, and data export. Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge and no auto-renewal.
Kalan is a budgeting tool for informational purposes only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and its projections are estimates based on the data you enter. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
You agree not to:
Kalan and its content, design, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property other than the limited license described above. The budget data you enter remains yours.
Kalan is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be preserved.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising from your use of or inability to use Kalan. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may stop using Kalan at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the app and its users. On termination, the license granted to you ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Where required, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple’s standard EULA) also applies to your use of Kalan. If there is any conflict, these Terms govern to the extent permitted. You can read Apple’s standard EULA at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
